TYPES OF HABITATS

 These types of habitats are living environments suitable for land dwelling animals and can contain rocks, woods, mosses, soils, sands, live plants, leaves and other substrates. These are considered dry habitats with very little to no water features. 

Animals suited for these types of habitats include: Frogs, Lizards, Land Crabs, Land Snails, Insects, Snakes and Spiders

 These types of habitats are created utilizing large amounts of stone, rock, wood, botanicals, and driftwood to create a dry/terrestrial, aquatic, or combination land/sea environment. 

 Animals suited for these types of habitats include:  Almost any freshwater community, tropical, cichlid, semi-aggressive or aggressive freshwater fish

 These types of habitats are created utilizing large amounts of live aquatic plants, along with rocks, driftwood and other botanicals. This style of habitat is most suitable for standard aquariums and combination land/sea environments. 

  Animals suited for these types of habitats include:   Almost any freshwater community, tropical. cichlid, semi-aggressive or aggressive freshwater fish 

These types of habitats can best be described as containing both land and water features which resemble an environment by an estuary, brook, stream, or marsh. In these areas, limited aquatic and terrestrial plants thrive due to aquatic conditions. These habitats are a combination land/sea environment. 

 Animals suited for these types of habitats include: 

Brackish - Puffer Fish, Red Claw Crabs, Mudskippers

Freshwater - Most Freshwater Fish, Crayfish, Shrimp,  and  Some Terrestrial species

 These types of habitats are created by combining land features as well as aquatic features so that land, semi-aquatic and fully aquatic species can co-exist in one environment. Rocks, woods, botanicals, and terrestrial and aquatic plants are all incorporated into these designs. These habitats are perfect for the pet owner with multiple species of animals they wish to incorporate into one natural living environment.
